Anna Herforth, PhD

Anna Herforth conducts work to build systems for global food measurement. Her research provides tools and data for measurement of diet quality, food access, and food environments. She studied plant science and international nutrition at Cornell University, Food Policy at Tufts University, and has worked with agricultural and indigenous communities in Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. She has consulted with the World Bank, FAO, WHO, CGIAR, and government donors. Dr. Herforth co-founded and co-leads the Agriculture-Nutrition Community of Practice (Ag2Nut), a professional community of over 7,500 members from 130 countries.
